I haven't looked at these artifacts and correspondence in years, but revisiting them for the website has given me time to reflect.

As you'll see in the first Q&A, things were much less formal in those early days—it wasn't even typewritten! Looking back, what means the most to me is that Erika NEVER made me feel that I wasn't worthy of being her fan club president at such a young age. She ALWAYS treated me as an equal, which gave me confidence in myself and helped me grow as a person. I've never had the opportunity to tell Erika this, so when she reads these pages, I truly hope she'll know what a difference she has made in my life.
