OLTL surprises Erika with a 40th Anniversary party. 1982 (January) Erika, Gerald Anthony, Brynn Thayer, Bob Woods and Robin Strasser tape a special edition of Family Feud. They raise $11,400 ot benefit "Save the Children." The shows air February 8, 1, 15, 18 and 19.

1982 (Sept. 28) Soap World, a west coast production hosted by Michael Young, features Erika and Falcon Crest star, Abby Dalton, in a three- part interview. Smith Thomlin films the remote shooting and Michael Young interviews Erika. He introduces Erika by saying "Erika Slezak is one actress who had her children later in life," to which Erika replies, "Later in life is not 36, later in life is LATER IN LIFE!" Kit Swanson is in the audience and is selected ot ask Erika a pre-planned question.

1984 Tapes another special edition of Family Feud (Daytime Dynasties) which airs the week of February 6. “The Buchanans” are the overall winners with $16,000 for St. Jude’s Hospital.
